HACCP course

The lecturers of Technologies and Equipment of Processing Industries Department and students of bachelor's and master's degrees of Food Technology successfully completed the course "Food Safety: modern legislation, honest producer, responsible consumer" on the Prometheus platform.

The course was supported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine within the framework of the EU project "Improvement of the food safety control system in Ukraine".

During the course students learned "Food law". The lecturers Yana Dobidovska and Yuriy Oglashenny spoke about the benefits of HACCP for market operators to expand markets, optimize technological and ancillary processes, reduce losses from the production of hazardous and non-compliant products by identifying inconsistencies in the early stages of production. The course included the sources of biological, chemical and physical hazards that can potentially pose a threat to human health; discussed the practical aspects the logical sequence of HACCP implementation, the procedure for hazard analysis and HACCP documentation. According to the results of tests, all the students got certificates. The lecturers and students can use the acquired knowledge of non-formal education in their academic disciplines and professional activities.
