Learning in Finnish: Flexibility and Attention to Everyone

Learning in Finnish: Flexibility and Attention to Everyone

The internship  at  West-Finland College in Guitytinen (Finland) was held under the Internship for Teachers + English Language School Program. The event was organized by the Institute of International Academic and Scientific Cooperation  on March 4-8, 2019.

During the academic internship  the participants studied English at  West-Finland College and a project approach to organizing the educational process in kindergartens, schools, and the Universities  of Finland. In addition, they became acquainted with other cultures and approaches to the education and upbringing of children and adolescents.

In the polytechnic  they talked about distance learning,  about a new educational program in schools  that is has been implemented for the second year, in kindergartens about the approach to  raise children. In addition, it was interesting to learn  about   inclusive education. The new training program puts emphasis  not  on teaching, but on how to teach.

The  teacher  should encourage learning and be the bearer of change, and it is necessary to work on oneself. At the same time, it is very important  that children and teachers conduct introspection.

Noting that the Finnish climate was not very warm, the atmosphere during the training was very pleasant and welcoming.
