Meeting of partners in the framework of the project  " University Cooperation for the Support  of  the Security and Crisis Management  Development of  Lublin and Lutsk Transboundary Regions "

A delegation from Lutsk National Technical University, consisting of a local manager Kovalchuk Olena and a specialist in the calculations and financial reporting  Shymanska Alla, took part in a working meeting of partners in the framework of the project  " University Cooperation for the Support of the Security and Crisis Management  Development  of  Lublin and Lutsk Transboundary Regions " on June 27-28, 2019.   

     The joint project was launched on September 12, 2018  by  Lutsk National Technical University and  John  Paul II  Catholic University  of  Lublin  within the framework of  Poland-Belarus-Ukraine Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2014-2020 with the financial support of the European Union. 

     The two-day meeting was devoted to the current issues of project implementation.

     During the first day the participants discussed the issues of preparation of accounting documents for carrying out the audit, making changes to the budget and summarized the results of the first stage of a series of trainings for customs and border guards. The project manager Kamil Dembinski noted that in the first round of trainings in May 2019 it was planned to attract 20 participants from Ukraine. Due to the increased interest from the Customs Service of Ukraine, the number of participants in the first round has been increased ( two more persons). The second round of trainings is scheduled for September-October 2019. During the discussion  the partners agreed that in the case of high interest, the number of training participants may be increased relatively  to the previously planned.             

    The second day of the event  was  devoted  to  discussing the organization and conduct of the survey. The project coordinator Wojciech Giżicki offered to examine and approve a questionnaire on which to conduct a survey on both sides of the border. According to the results of the survey, the analysis will be made on the quality of service provision when crossing the border.

    The participants also discussed the organization of postgraduate education, in particular, the criteria for selection of teachers, the list of disciplines and the schedule of exercises conducting  were approved. Postgraduate education will be conducted in two phases: from October 2018 to February 2019.

    At the end of the working meeting, the local manager Kovalchuk Olena thanked the Polish partner for the good organization of the meeting and wished everyone  inspiration for further work within the project.
