Nearly Zero Energy Buildings Construction Specialists Work in Lutsk NTU

A training course for 'Nearly Zero Energy Buildings Construction Specialists' has been held at the Center KNUBA recently. The training was carried out within the framework of the international project 'Train-to-NZEB: The Building Knowledge Hubs'.

The event was attended by Associate Professor of the Department of Construction and Civil Engineering Orest Pakholiuk.

The workshop was carried out by qualified specialists who had passed the special training within the framework of the Project. The event was also attended by representatives of the local project partners: 'REHAU' Ltd., 'Wienerberger' Ltd., SOE 'Vaillant Group Ukraine', 'Henkel Bautechnic (Ukraine)' Ltd., 'AKLIMA' Ltd., 'Techno- Alliance Company' Ltd., 'Talisman' Ltd., and 'Khranyteli Tepla' [Warmth Keepers] Ltd.

Lectures were held in specialized KNUBA audiences, equipped with modern samples of energy-efficient building materials, products, constructions, technological and engineering equipment, including alternative energy sources. Some workshops were held at the training and testing centers of the partner project companies, as well as in the laboratory for KNUBA energy-efficient systems modelling.

The curriculum focused on the practical aspects of designing and building nearly zero energy buildings and houses. A lot of attention was paid to the regulatory requirements for the building's thermal insulation shell, modern energy-efficient materials, constructive solutions, the choice of heat sources, hot water supply, and efficient ventilation systems of the building, which could include the integration of alternative and renewable energy sources.

The students received two qualification certificates by test results: European Certificate within 'Train-to-NZEB: The Building Knowledge Hubs' project and Ukrainian Certificate from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
