Professor from the University of Miami Marcus Job came to Lutsk NTU

On November 22, the well-known American professor Marcus Job addressed students and lecturers at  Lutsk National Technical University with his  reports on "Freedom and Christian influence on the formation of the United States Government" and "Quality assurance and data development".

The event took place within the framework of the International Scientific and Technical Conference "Engineering and Technology: Science, Education, Production", which started on November 15 at the University.

Note that Marcus Job is the Doctor of Sciences, Professor of Statistics Department at the University of Miami since 2000. He was born in Oklahoma, USA. He worked at the School of Business in Oxford, Ohio. The main area of his ​​activity is information systems and analysis. During the past 25 years  he has been providing consulting, training services to General Electric, Proctor and Gamble, NASA-Lewis Research Center, Westinghouse. In addition, he lectured more than 40 Ukrainian Universities.

So, the Head of the Department  of  Mechanical Engineering  and Forestry of  Lutsk NTU Vitalii Puts, who introduced the famous professor, began the event: "We have today a highly respected  guest, John Markus Job. He is a co-organizer of our conference, a member of the organizational and scientific committee. Today he has come to us to make a speech. In addition, he arrived with gifts - he presented our University his book in 5 copies "Statistical methods of quality assurance." This book is very valuable to us; it will be in the library with free access to everyone. "

Therefore, Professor Job began the acquaintance with the audience: "I want to express my gratitude to the Rector of  Lutsk NTU and colleagues for the invitation. I am a guest in your country and I have a great opportunity to conduct a dialogue with you today. " Consequently, Marcus Job discussed with the audience the following topics: Christian faith; definition of freedom; how Columbus opened the United States; the establishment of Universities; about capitalism; the proclamation of independence and the constitution. In addition, the professor quoted George Washington's instructions in his farewell speech on September 19, 1796: "From all the ordinances and habits that lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are always their backing ... And let's not allow ourselves to assume that morality can be sustained without religion. Reason and experience tell us that we can not expect that national morality will be preserved in the exclusion of religious principles. " Upon completion of the report, Marcus analyzed the development of Ukrainian higher education institutions, noting that "Ukrainian students are no less talented than the US students, they currently have fewer opportunities to implement. So you must look for them! "
