Students  of Lutsk NTU win the competition of young designers

The XIX  international competition of young designers "Pechersk Chestnuts" has traditionally been held  in  Kyiv National University of Technology and Design  with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The creative concept of this year's contest is sustainable fashion, a fashion trend designed to curb the excess consumption of the planet's resources by the community. This event  calls upon humanity to  use the riches of our ecosystem more carefully and consciously, including clothing, footwear,  so on.

The organizers decided to expand the trendy outlook and they  added the nomination  Eco-fashion in the hope that it would  interest designers and attract the public's attention to the urgent environmental problems of our country and the world. The Eco-fashion nomination is the production of mass consumer products, which are processed  from artificially created materials.

Thus, under the  supervision  of the  Associate Professor  of Industrial  Mechanical Engineering and Forestry  Depatment H.  Yefimchuk   and  the   Assistant Professor of Design and Architecture  Department   M.  Nazarchuk, the students of the second year  in the  specialty Light industry technologies J. Zhuk  and L.  Metelska   decided to try their hand exactly in this nomination.  It was  done in order to draw attention to the problems of environmental pollution and to demonstrate that materials,  we  normally throw away, can be used to make accessories.

The collection  kArtilen was created using cardboard, polyethylene, dried flowers, linen materials, etc.

As a result  of  the rigorous semi-final selection, the collection first won  the final, and then the students  got  the 1st place in the  nomination. This year's final competition was held on the basis of the Freedom Hall Theater  and  the Concert Complex.

Congratulations to the authors of the collection on  winning   the  reward, we wish them further success in the fashion field,  inspiration  and  new accomplishments!
