Thanksgiving Day at Lutsk NTU

                     Thanksgiving Day at Lutsk NTU

These days the USA  celebrates one of the most popular American holidays – Thanksgiving Day.

Probably, each of us has seen in many American films and series, as the whole family is gathering at the festive table, makes a prayer with the words of gratitude. Many people make a long way to their home from other states to gather at their family lunch. Around this holiday there are many stories, videos, and their main hero is turkey.

The culture of gratitude from ancient times was a tradition in many countries of the world. Ukraine is no exception. This year, the Department of Continuing Education, the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Linguistics and students of Lutsk NTU joined the holiday. Our American Lecturers, Jason McCrawla and Sherilyn Harrington, told many  fun traditions of Thanksgiving Day celebration  in their home country. Subsequently, each of the people said thanks for all the good things that had happened in their life.

The celebration ended with a delicious meal, where all present guests enjoyed traditional American dishes. Usually, people cook on Thanksgiving  Day   baked turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, vegetable garnish, cheesecake, apple juice and so on.
